100 Days of My Youth (Day 38): Stay Schemin!

I never want to come by here and bore you with my life stories. Matter of fact I want to tell you things you don’t want to hear and things you want to hear. At the end of the day, I strive to throw in a line or two about the sad reality of my and your youth.

Sometimes I wake up and want to just shove a middle finger to this all and give up. Just get over this whole thing and stop writing daily. No one will stone me nor castigate me for starting. But nah, I somewhat come back here and tickle the keyboard and scribble words. It’s my drug, a daily dose. It’s my passion to see the small things I put my time into turn into something amazing and maybe blossom into something really cool.

Come on, something should drive us all. We should all have purpose as we pursue the things we want. Folks my age are always clueless about where they are headed to. They’ve got no plan, nothing to drive them and all they care about is to just move even without direction.

You need a plan. You need a goal to drive you out of bed every morning. You need hunger for glory so that you can work twice as hard and smarter. Nothing comes by easy, although everything might go by easily. The narrative can only be changed by yourself.

See, at some point you’re going to have to divorce your friends, some habits and focus on making yourself a better person. You’re going to have to let the things you love and cherish go to be the person you aspire to become.

A lot is going to change. Trials and Tribulations are going to come knocking at your door at some point in your life and everything is going to turn around. You just need to keep your head held up and stay schemin!

Shit might not work out but that doesn’t mean you let go. Hang in there Fam!

Youth is about the only thing worth having, and that is about the only thing youth has. ~ Edgar Watson Howe
