One of the Hardest questions you will ever ask a youth is to tell you about their self. Whether it’s outrightly a Joke or whether it’s a Job interview, it’s somehow the most dreaded question of our millennial era. It’s a whole lot of junkie and heavy to get along with and comprehend.
See we’ll stand stand there and look at you in agape and wonder where the hell does one start from. We’ll run speechless and if it were some sort of interview then we would be counting our bad luck already.
For some that are easily scared, they might fart a little or sweat right from their bums. It’s such a tough but easy question. What gets even tricker is the fact that you don’t know what the other party wants to hear. You are not sure whether they want to know about your love life, whether you had 5 abortions, what you do when you are broke or if you are really interested in animations or a comic fan. It’s berserk!
See sometimes they just really ask this question out of the norm. Like it could be a starter for a deeper conversation or they really don’t know how to unlock you in anyway so they go like….Hey Claire, can you tell me about yourself.
You stummer a little, clear your throat and then start to unleash what settles in your subconscious mind hoping it’s what the folks on the other side want to hear about you. Most cases, it’s really and only about the darned Job that they want to actually hear and why you are interested in the Job anyway.
Some mean folks(me inclusive) use this line on dates and they just sit there across the table as they watch their dates stummer and stumble upon just about anything they can say. They love to see them blush a little as they speak about themselves from the grassroots.
It’s a such a tough question, I still don’t know how well I can tackle it even as I age. Help me and never ask me to tell you about myself every when we meet. You surely don’t want to know the crazy and nasty things going on in my head about myself.
Who so neglects learning in his youth loses the past and is dead to the future. ~ Euripedes
